How can you make a complaint about your treatment?

There are different options for making a complaint about the care that you have received from the Practice:

  • Making an ‘informal complaint’ can be a good first step, as this often resolves the problem more quickly than the formal complaint process. This would involve you speaking to one of our patient experience administrators, who should be able to explore your concerns, discuss with the Partners and contact you with an explanation on what happened.
  • Another option is to make a ‘formal complaint’ in writing, by emailing the Practice: hnyicb-ery.practice3.bridlington.feedback@nhs.net
  • If you are unhappy with the way the complaint has been dealt with locally, you can escalate your complaint to the relevant ombudsman.

You should make your complaint as soon as possible. Complaints should normally be made within 12 months of the date of the event that you’re complaining about, or as soon as you find out about the problem.
